Name: Fiona Murchison
Place of Birth: Devon, England
Occupation: Head of Creative, THE ICONIC

1. What is your style signifier?
Probably a variation on a big sleeved, lace, frill dress, a little on the OTT side. I love the details of an item—big skirts, amazing prints or colours, intricate stitching. Although I'm not wearing that every day, jeans and a vintage-style blouse are my go-to. I think I’m remembered for being seduced by a statement dress!

2. What is your most cherished piece of jewellery?
A locket that was given to me by my best friend's parents after she passed away. And my wedding rings.

3. What is the last thing you purchased and loved?
A puff sleeve floral Self Portrait dress that I have zero reason to wear right now—but I love it. For now, just seeing it in my wardrobe is a mood lifter.

4. What is currently on your wish list?
A couple of pieces from Ciao Lucia, hand-painted chairs from Pierrot Chairs, and a pyjama set from Holiday by Emma Mulholland.

5. Your earliest fashion memory?
I have so many. As a kid I loved window shopping, flipping through catalogues, and mentally planning outfits. I remember getting my first pair of Kickers, obsessing over what to wear on mufti day, and watching Clueless on repeat. My sister was born in 1995 and I dressed her in 90s looks—skirt-over-trousers, headscarves... lucky her!

6. The beauty staple you’re never without?
Aesop body balms and skincare, Clinique Dramatically Different moisturiser, and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume.

7. What will you always find in your fridge?
A lot of fruit and veg, salmon, good butter and cheese. And always Lindt salted dark chocolate.

8. How do you stay healthy? Any wellness tips?
Walking is my go-to—I got obsessed with hitting 10,000 steps. Pre-baby I went to Fluid Form Pilates and a mums-and-bubs class. I recommend setting goals like online challenges or committing to something social—it makes movement more achievable.

9. What item of clothing did you add to your wardrobe recently?
The Self Portrait dress and a pair of New Balance Classics 992s.

10. What object would you never part with?
All the artwork we’ve collected over the years—it reflects our style and brings joy. Also, my Beata Heuman cushion. I coveted it for years before finally buying it.

11. What are some of the challenges of being a working mother and how do you juggle it all?
We divide and conquer, but it's exhausting. I do things in small bursts—just one task per awake window. I prep ahead, walk during calls, and give myself grace when things don’t go to plan. Music helps keep the energy up!
